For us at Musetti Coffee, sustainability is a journey of continuous improvement. We are aware of the importance of adopting an ethical approach to contribute to the creation of a responsible supply chain.
Our commitment begins with careful sourcing: we select suppliers that meet the environmental and social criteria defined in our Code of Conduct.
But we don’t stop there. We subject all our green coffee suppliers to a questionnaire that assesses their approach to quality, food safety, and sustainability.
TRACEABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY
To provide our customers with better knowledge about the journey coffee takes before reaching their cup, we have initiated a pilot project to apply blockchain technology to our new Gentile da 18 coffee pods.
This allows us to offer transparent data regarding the product’s origin and processing stages.
FAIRTRADE AND BIOAGRICERT CERTIFICATIONS
For a long time, with the aim of representing excellence in the coffee industry, we have embarked on an even more ambitious journey to promote quality and sustainability through significant certifications. Since 2000, we have obtained the Bioagricert certification for the commercialization of organic agriculture coffee: a choice that speaks to our commitment to the environment and respect for customers who care about this important issue.
The Bioagricert certification attests that some of the products we market are cultivated using rigorous organic farming methods, without the use of harmful chemical pesticides, thus preserving the environment and promoting biodiversity in the regions where the coffee beans originate.
Equity and sustainability are the key principles not only of the ethical certification program but also of our philosophy. These two certifications demonstrate our commitment to providing coffee of the highest quality, produced in harmony with nature and with respect for the people involved in the production chain.
Furthermore, since 2007, Musetti has been Fairtrade certified, positioning itself among the companies that ensure better living conditions for coffee growers. This means that coffee producers working with Musetti receive fair and dignified treatment, ensuring them suitable working conditions and a fair price for their valuable harvest.
